We are very happy to announce that you are soon becoming a big brother, my little Lion.
I had an idea I was pregnant about 2 weeks ago, when I woke up with a rash all over my ankles and the inside of my arms. It reminded me so of PUPPS disease, which I got just after you were born, that I suddenly thought I could be pregnant.
We had been trying for about 3 months so I didn’t want to get too excited and decided not to say a word and carry on as usual.
It wasn’t until a missed my period that I thought something could be up, so I took a test that night…negative. It reminded me so much of finding out about you my angel because it was also a Wednesday. I decided to wait for a day or two before trying again, and on the Friday took the next 2 tests. Both were negative but just like with you, I knew I was pregnant. So off I went to the lab for a test, and they said I could come and collect the results after work.
I was so sure that I organised for your Dad to meet me at Primi for dinner that night to break the news. After collecting the results and shouting “I TOLD YOU SO!” at the top of my lungs, I raced home to pick you up for dinner.
We arrived just before Dad and ran into Wespack to get 5 pink and 5 blue balloons for the surprise. After balloons popping and some flying away we tied them to you arms and left to surprise Dad
I love you my little Lion cub!
As we walked into the restaurant I saw Dad waiting for us and when he looked up he smiled at you and said “Hello Piki…nice balloons” (Clearly not registering anything). Feeling a little deflated a resorted to handing him the print out from Lancet, and once he saw the label he looked at me and said “No way!!!!!!”
Such a special moment, and so chuffed you shared it with us.
Very excited to welcome another pair of feet to the family, lots of fun times ahead!
